Sometimes paying down a debt (like a car) feels good. Other times (like the morning after a cheat night), it can be a beat-down.
Saturday's 300-rep challenge workout was just such an experience. I had just woken up a mere 30 minutes earlier and headed to teh Training Room. Going through the warm-up was a HUGE indicator that it was not going to be simply a walk in the park. Though I got through the workout in something like 22 minutes, I felt dogged tired and wound up napping once I got home and showered.
Breakfast/Lunch was bacon and egg scramble, with leftover chicken chili...how's that for an combo! Wound up being quite good! About 4 hours later, dinner was seared chicken cutlets (un-breaded of course...that wouldn't be Paleo) and sautéed veggies.
Did my DJ gig at the dance social. Lotsa dessert there (Al...you would have LOVED that), but I didn't partake in any (yay...go me). Post gig, had chili (no cheese or whatever non-Paleo extras in it) and unsweetened ice tea at teh Middletown Applebee's with my bud Rich.
It feels like I'm adapting to this well. I'm not craving the simple carbs like bread, sweets, etc as i thought. But I wonder if this is a safe diet to follow. I'm contemplating talking to my doc and get his take on it, esp. that cholesterol issues are a family history on Mom's side of the house.
Grade for day: A
