Eight More Random Things

Here are eight more little factoids about your host: I've never done illegal drugs (this includes marijuana). Speaking on a microphone used to be difficult for me; I didn't like the sound of my own voice.  DJing took care of that. I'm very open-minded to most forms of music: Country, Pop, Hard Rock, Oldies, and Classical. I love technology. I needed to be in a cast twice in my life, both arm-related.  The first was from a fall off a bicycle, fracturing my right wrist in the 8th grade.  To make matters worse, my 8th grade English teacher complained to my mother about my handwriting, despite that my writing hand was in the cast.  The second was from slipping on the ice in a bank parking lot. Though I love living at the shore, I'm not one to spend an entire day laying on the beach, nor am I particularly fond of swimming in the ocean.  I'll do the latter in a pinch, but being poolside is much more enjoyable.  And I love the boardwalk. Cross-posted from Facebook: Eight Random Things (requested by Patrick Conner): My middle name is Joseph; I actually like my middle name more than my first name.  I learned how to cook through home economics, following recipes, and watching the Food Network.  My education is fairly diverse; I spent time in Catholic school, non-sectarian private school, and finally public school. I was pretty unfocused the whole time (and was thrown out of the first two). I still marvel over the fact that I managed to earn my Bachelors.  My first car accident happened when I was a senior in high school. I had a '74 Cadillac and I pulled out into traffic without looking and hit a commuter bus. Fortunately, no one hurt and no damage to the bus. Only the fender on my car got dented.  Many of my primary teeth had to be extracted by the dentist.  I love playing pinball.  My original career choice was becoming a middle or high math teacher.
