Day off from the gym. Needed to recuperate and get a couple of odds and ends done...like getting a very-much needed haircut tonight. Have a late-morning appointment with the dentist, so a 6-in-the-morning workout will be the start of tomorrow's festivities. Important to get a good night's rest because a strength workout is on tap. I believe it to be the "Bear Complex", but I won't know for sure until after midnight. It may be best to go on that assumption since it *is* an ass-kicker...
Diet-wise a little better than yesterday, though I tend to be hungry in the early evening. I'm eating Paleo-friendly stuff (like almonds, cashews, cherry tomatoes, etc.), but I think I need to see what I can munch on to tie me over until dinner is done.
Breakfast and lunch were the same...fritatta (breakfast) and a new big-assed-saladworks-salad v3.0 for lunch. v3.0 is simply swapping brocoli with avocado. It was okay, but can't say I'm fond of avocado (I've never been into guacamole). But it was worth a try and wasn't bad nonetheless.
Tonight was chicken seasoned with Creole seasoning and veggies. There's a place up in Westfield called the Savory Spice Shop that my buddy Rich turned me onto. They have a lot of good spice blends and stuff there. You can order online, but the shipping charges are very steep. It's probably worth a drive up there, since Westfield has a very nice shopping district.
I saw plenty of the posts in the gym's group page of recipes that I want to try...and sound great. An expansion of one's horizons is always a good thing, and it's important to try new things. So..that will be the goal for next week.
Next cheat meal is Saturday night at PF Chang's. I'll try not to go overboard :)
