It's now 2015. Another New Year. There are resolutions and goals. The Planet Fitness commercials are running in earnest, hoping to cash in on those who have goals to lose weight in the new year. For others, there are goals to have a brighter outlook in 2015, or maybe reign in spending, or do more traveling, or whatever.
I'll refrain from mentioning how Planet Fitness is the worst gym in America.
Nonetheless, it's important to have some goals to shoot for. It's more important to actively pursue them.
Here are mine for 2015:

Here are mine for 2015:
- Continue my training regimen and become stronger. This means pushing heavier weights during strength sessions (regularly working with 28 kb KBs). It also means working on those ever-challenging pull-ups (I can presently bang out 6 in a set, but want to get to 10).
- Continue to eat clean 80% of the time, and continue to ban eating anything from McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, etc.
- Participate in at least four 5K runs, and successfully complete a 10K.
- Visit the family in NC and AZ. (Both of these trips are now planned)
- Brown-bag lunch more often and limit lunches out to twice weekly.
The start of the year also marks the NFL Playoffs!
As we know, the Giants were eliminated just over halfway through the 2014 season, and the Eagles were eliminated toward the end. The Cowboys are presently still in the running and are heading to Lambeau this week.
Of course, I'm hoping to see them go down to defeat this week (for a couple of reasons). It looked as though Detroit would have handled that yesterday, but they fell apart in the latter half of the game. Hopefully, the Packers will send them packing this Sunday.
Al and I had a nice New Year's. It was pretty laid back and we got some walking in. I did a 5K run and then walked seven miles with Al during the middle of the day. Al de-Christmased his house (I was spared that chore since I didn't decorate this year).
Things are back to normal now.
TTFN...
